Situated in the heart of North Northumberland, we are just off the main A1 road, about 15 miles north of Alnwick, 15 miles south of Berwick upon Tweed, and just 5 miles from the spectacular beaches at Bamburgh. Blue Bell Farm Caravan Park has bases for 42 static caravans and 14 seasonal touring caravans, with a small area for tents and occasional touring units. For details of sale caravans, please visit our Caravans for Sale page. Toilet and shower facilities are provided on site. The season runs for 10 months, from 9th March to 9th January. We also have 5 superb Self Catering Cottages which can comfortably sleep 2-6 people. Our booking calendar usually runs Saturday to Saturday, although we may be able to offer greater flexibility at quieter periods, when short breaks may also be available. Arrival time is normally between 4.00 and 6.00 pm, with departure by 10.00 on your date of departure. For guests looking for simpler accommodation we have our Bunk Barn and Ark facilities.
Bluebell Farm enjoys a quiet central location in the Village of Belford, in North Northumberland. The A1 by-passes the village approximately one mile to the west, ensuring undisturbed peace combined with ready access to the main road linking Newcastle and Edinburgh. Midway between the historic towns of Alnwick to the south, and Berwick-upon-Tweed to the north, Belford was a noteable stopping-off point in the days of London to Edinburgh Mail Coaches. The Blue Bell Hotel, an old coaching inn, still overlooks the Market Square in the centre of a pleasantly quiet and charming village, with a diverse range of shops and pubs, all within easy walking distance.
Belford is a thriving community and there are a number of events which have taken place here in the past or which have become regular attractions - fireworks at New Year, Victorian Market, Belford Carnival, food markets, etc. Details of forthcoming attractions are given below:
The Hidden History of Belford Exhibition - Bank House, Market Place, Belford. July and August 2008 between 10.00 am and 4.00 pm except Mondays. Free entry.
Birds of Prey: Sunday 24 August between 12.00 and 3.00 pm at Bluebell Farm. A chance to see a number of birds of prey at close quarters.
